I’m a professional guitarist and guitar teacher based in Chippenham, with a strong belief that music is a powerful form of self-expression and communication. This philosophy sits at the heart of my teaching and underpins all of my guitar lessons in Chippenham.
My approach is relaxed, thoughtful and student-centred. I aim to create a supportive environment where students feel encouraged to explore the instrument, develop confidence, and discover their own musical voice — rather than simply learning to repeat shapes or exercises. By combining creative freedom with clear structure, I help students build strong technical foundations while also developing a genuine, lasting connection with the guitar.

I have experience teaching children and adults, from complete beginners to competent players looking to improve technique, musical understanding, and music theory. I also have particular experience working with students with special educational needs. I recognise that music can be immensely powerful in supporting emotional regulation, interaction, and communication, and I approach these lessons with patience, sensitivity, and adaptability. For many students, music offers a unique and meaningful way to express themselves, build confidence, and engage with others.
All lessons are bespoke and tailored to the individual. I recognise that everyone learns differently, and I adapt my teaching style to suit each student — whether they respond best to visual learning, practical exploration, structured theory, or a more intuitive, creative approach. The aim is always steady, meaningful progress in a way that feels encouraging and enjoyable.
I began teaching myself guitar at the age of 15 and started performing professionally at 18. Alongside my practical experience, I hold a BSc in Sound Technology and Digital Music, as well as Grade 8 Guitar with Distinction. As a dedicated guitar teacher in Chippenham, I’m passionate about helping students of all ages and abilities develop confidence, skill, and enjoyment through music.
